Weekend Show Details and Info for Jan 26, 27 and 28

Posted Jan 25, 2017 in Announcements, Cast Lists, Shows

Here’s what is happening this weekend:

→ British Baking Challenge Thursday Jan 26 and Friday Jan 27 at 8:00PM  – Inspired by PBS’ The Great British Baking Show, this improvised baking competition challenges its actors to develop contestants based on suggestions from the audience while also navigating a fleet of ovens, mixers, and cooking utensils to produce a batch of baked treats to be evaluated by the judges.

Improv Month  – This January, we’re happy to be working alongside the The Pocket Theater and CSz Seattle for the 3rd annual Seattle Improv Month. The month-long event features special performances by independent improv groups (with some familiar faces) mixed in to our regular programming.  Saturday at 10:30PM.

Twisted Flicks – The Lost World   Twisted Flicks is a movie experience like none other! Seattle’s only live movie re-dubbing show merges improv and great old “B” movies for a unique and hilarious comedy experience. Here’s how it works: a cheesy “B” movie is shown on our full-size movie screen, but with its original soundtrack removed.   From there, our improvisers create all new dialogue, sound effects, and music – all live, all based on audience suggestions!  This month it’s The Lost World – Join Professor Challenger and his band of adventurers as they venture to a land of dinosaurs; ie lizards with horns and fins glued to them.  It’s an Irwin Allen extravaganza with Claude Rains, Jill St. John and Michael Rennie!

Jet City Improv  –  Just one JCI show this weekend – Friday night @ 10:30! Seattle’s favorite high-energy short form comedy show takes the stage every Friday and Saturday!!!

Here’s the cast of JCI this weekend:

Friday Jan 27, 10:30PM
