Antiques Improv Show

Antiques Road Show meets improv with appraisals and stories inspired by audience treasures!

Directed by Kris Corbitt.

What do I bring?

Initial appraisals will begin at 7:00 when the doors to the theater opens. If you want to increase your chances of a full appraisal, be sure to arrive well before the 7:30 showtime!

You’re invited to bring objects of any shape, size, age, and origin, even if they are not obviously valuable or an antique. Any item should also be one that you are able to hold in your lap during the entirety of the performance (in case your item doesn’t get picked).

We also ask that you don’t bring anything truly irreplaceable, as there is always a small risk of an accident when the performers handle the selected objects. Here’s the real kicker: the appraised value of each object will be completely fictitious, but every appraisal will put its owner in the running for a real prize at the end of the performance.

When can I see it?

Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30pm, September 5-20, 2019. Buy Tickets

What does it cost?

Tickets are $17 online and $18 at the door. Buy Tickets

Discounts are available for military, seniors (55+), students, and groups.

Age Appropriateness

Though the antiques themselves may be a little dirty, the show itself will not be. It is appropriate for all ages.

Antiques Improv Show is the newest edition to Jet City Improv’s line of improvised plays. Unlike most short-form improv formats that involve improvisers switching from game to game and creating brand new scenes every time, Jet City Improv Presents is an ongoing series of longform improv shows that present one or many stories around one cohesive theme. Improv still lies at the heart of each show, and every story is created based on unique suggestions and input every night. So yes, even though Jet City Improv Presents shows have sets and costumes and some thematic rules, the major role of the audience guarantees that no two performances are ever alike.

Jet City Improv’s 28th season is made possible by support from the following:
