Jet City Improv Staff
Mandy Price (she/her) – Interim Artistic Director
Mandy has been a member of the JCI family since 1999, as both a performer and teacher. Her first show at Jet City Improv was Lovetanic: The Musical and she’s been around ever since. In regard to leadership, Mandy believes in communication and transparency. Her goal as interim AD is to lead the organization into a more cooperative and consensus-driven model.
Nancy Nicholas (she/her) – Interim Managing Director
Mike Christensen (he/him) – Outreach Director
Mike has over 37 years of theater and improv experience teaching, directing and performing. Originally from Genoa, Nebraska, Mike joined the US Army in 1976 while still in High School. In 1985 Mike received his BFA in Theater Arts from the University of Nebraska (Kearney) and later his MFA in Acting (Supporting Area: Directing) from the University of Idaho – spending summers performing summer stock across the Midwest. He began his Seattle improv career at Seattle Theatersports in 1989 and in 1992 he and Andrew McMasters founded Jet City Improv. Mike is currently Associate Artistic Director, director of Twisted Flicks, Outreach Director, Comedy-To-Go Czar as well as a performer and teaching artist.
Brandon Jepson (he/him) – Production Director
Brandon has been a part of Jet City Improv for over 20 years. He’s directed eight shows on the JCI stage, including Clues, World’s Fair (with Randy Miller), Over and Through and The Monster Hunters. As an improviser, he’s performed over 500 times in our flagship Jet City Improv show, as well as has been an ensemble member in such JCI Presents shows as The Startup, The Irish Wake, Reunion Tour, and Twisted Flicks. He is also an improv instructor, has a BA in Drama from UW, and has performed in scripted theater around Seattle. He has been the Production Director of JCI since 2007, and the Executive Producer of the Seattle Festival of Improv Theater since 2009. As Production Director, he believes in creating a stage for our artists to craft their amazing concepts of improvised theater.
Nathan Cox (he/him) – Interim Marketing Manager
Nathan is pleased to serve as Interim Marketing Manager and has been involved with Jet City Improv since 2013 in a variety of ways. He joined the ensemble that year, has performed in over a dozen Jet City Presents productions, created two shows, has taught classes since 2015, and served for a year as an Ombud. He graduated from Western Washington University with a BA in Theatre and a minor in communications. Nathan is dedicated to serving JCI and its community, spreading awareness and enthusiasm for the terrific programming, outreach and education that JCI has to offer.
Kate Drummond (she/her) – Education Director
Kate is a graduate of the Seattle Children’s Theatre Teaching Apprenticeship, and has a BA in Drama from Washington University in St. Louis, where she explored acting and directing. Since moving to Seattle, she has created and hosted the all-female improv show Improvatron, and performed with Unexpected Productions and several independent improv groups. Kate is an Artistic Director and co-founded Dacha Theatre, and has performed with and directed for that company consistently for the last 3 years. Kate has appeared on Jet City stage in Claim of Thrones, Black Flag, and Periods in History, among others, and directed both iterations of The Bechdel Test. Kate teaches for several organizations in and around Seattle, including Seattle Children’s Theatre, Bainbridge Performing Arts, foundry10, and Seattle Shakespeare Company.
Oliver Trimble (he/him) – Patron Services Director
Oliver joined the Jet City Improv staff in September, 2016; he had been a Volunteer and House Manager since 2009. He holds a BA in Theater from California Lutheran University and brings an extensive background in customer service, database administration and a passion for people to this position. By day, Oliver administers the theaters box office and customer relations management services. By night, you will find him at our shows working with our amazing front of house team. The JCI volunteer staff make our shows and outreach work possible and Oliver is in charge of the recruitment, recognition and retention of this team; it is his favorite part of the job!
Joe Viscia (he/him) – Technical Director
Joe has been a technical improvisers for 3 years. In addition to Jet City Improv, he has performed at the Pocket Theater, 18th & Union, and Comedy Sports. He has worn many hats at JCI including Volunteer, Production Manager, Assistant Director and Set Designer. As the Technical Coordinator of JCI, he spends a lot of time there
