Job Title: Social Media and Content Coordinator

The Social Media and Content Coordinator is responsible for managing Jet City Improv’s online presence and creating compelling content to engage audiences, promote shows, and increase brand visibility. This role involves managing social media platforms, creating and scheduling posts, and analyzing engagement metrics to drive growth. Additionally, this position supports content creation for newsletters and other digital marketing efforts.

Mostly remote, with occasional in-person attendance at shows or events in Seattle, WA. This typically includes coordinating and attending media days for each main stage show and periodic ones for the Jet City Improv Ensemble, as well as attending select shows to capture content.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement social media strategies to promote shows, events, and classes.
- Create, schedule, and post content across platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages, fostering a positive and engaging online community.
- Stay updated on social media trends and suggest new strategies to enhance engagement.
Content Creation:
- Design eye-catching graphics, videos, and promotional materials using tools like Canva.
- Collaborate with staff and performers to create behind-the-scenes content that highlights Jet City Improv’s unique personality.
Analytics and Reporting:
- Track and analyze social media engagement, reach, and growth using tools like Meta Business Suite
- Evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns and suggest improvements.
Event Promotion:
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Production teams to ensure timely promotion of upcoming shows, events, and classes.
- Assist in developing targeted campaigns to attract specific audience demographics.
Brand Development:
- Maintain consistent branding across all social media channels and content.
- Ensure messaging aligns with Jet City Improv’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and trends, including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop) and video editing software.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently.
- A passion for theater, comedy, or performing arts is a plus.
- Photography and videography skills are a bonus.
