Staff Update at Jet City Improv

May 2025
Dear Jet City Improv Community,
I’m Kristine Antonsen, I use she/her pronouns, and I’m writing to inform you of some changes on the Jet City Improv staff.
I’m pleased to share that the Board of Directors has appointed me to the role of Interim Executive Managing Director, after outgoing Executive Managing Director Brandon Minaya announced his resignation. The Interim role is expected to last 3-6 months, and the Board of Directors is responsible for filling the role for the long term. I’m working closely with Artistic Director Sky Boggs, Business Director Oliver Trimble, and the rest of the staff to ensure a smooth transition, so that Jet City Improv can continue to grow.
I have immense gratitude for the work of Brandon Minaya, my former Vice President from our days on the Board while I served as President. Brandon had a vision in his role, and he expanded the operational footprint of Jet City Improv and brought much needed financial resilience and stability to the organization. He diversified JCI’s revenue streams by envisioning and creating the Drama Room and its liquor license, plus we have strong business relationships with West of Lenin and ArtsWest, where we can continue renting space, bringing vital productions to life.
As leaders, we all have our own style. My style will be different than Brandon’s, however, we are similarly driven by a passion to see Jet City Improv continue—and flourish—into the future. To accept my appointment as Interim Executive Managing Director, I announced my resignation from Bandit Theater’s Board of Directors and I have concluded my work there.
The role of Interim Executive Managing Director reports to the Board, and they are available for questions (see the Board of Directors page) if you would like more information on this transition.
As a former JCI student, volunteer, Board member, and staff member, I am proud to pair my nine years of being in this community with my 15 years of professional expertise in marketing and leadership. Visit our contact page to reach out if you have any questions about this transition.
Sincerely,
Kristine Antonsen, she/her
