Improv 101: Finding the Fun

Looking to try something new, meet great people, or just laugh more? Whether you're hoping to boost your confidence, become a better communicator, relieve stress, or explore your creative side, this class is a fun and supportive place to start.

Through games, scenes, and group exercises, you'll discover the fundamentals of improvisational theater in a welcoming environment. No experience is needed, and no one is put on the spot.

Class size is limited to 18 students so everyone gets a meaningful experience.

In this class, you will:​
  • Play creative and energizing improv games
  • Learn the core principles of improv such as listening, saying yes, and supporting your scene partners
  • Build confidence and communication skills
  • Get individual feedback to help you grow
  • Make real connections and probably some new friends
  • Receive free admission to most Jet City Improv shows during your class session, subject to availability

​Who: Adults 18 and older. No experience required.
​
Price: $350 for 7 weeks
We want classes to be accessible. If cost is a barrier, please reach out to [email protected] to ask about scholarship options or volunteer opportunities.

Refund Policy
  • Tuition can only be fully refunded if the student contacts Jet City Improv two or more weeks prior to the date of the first class.
  • Refund or deferment requests received after that time are not eligible for a refund or deferment.
  • Please contact the Education Department at [email protected] regarding questions about payment, refunds, and deferment. 
  • Please note: If we do not hit a minimum number of students enrolled by one week before the class begins, we may delay the beginning of this class by one (1) week or shorten the class by 30 minutes.
  • If the class time is shortened, registered students will be partially refunded to reflect a pro-rated tuition.
 

Additional Notes
  • All students must attend the first day of classes.
  • You must attend 6 out of the 7 classes to move onto the next course.
  • We do not offer make-up sessions for classes you do not attend.
