The Drama Room is an intimate 40-seat black box theater located on the third floor of University Heights Community Center. With tickets and concessions available at the door (and advanced tickets online), it’s a cozy, speakeasy-style venue that makes live comedy easy to enjoy. Concessions include candy, soda, water, beer, and canned cocktails. The space hosts a wide range of performances, including Jet City Improv ensemble shows, community favorites, and experimental comedy.

About Test Flights
Test Flights is Jet City Improv’s incubator for bold new ideas, fresh formats, and works-in-progress—performed right here at The Drama Room. Designed to support the development of original work, this series provides a low-barrier opportunity for performers to try something new in front of a live audience.
Open to improvisers of all experience levels, Test Flights welcomes submissions from across the broader improv and theater community—not just those affiliated with Jet City Improv. We especially encourage ideas from new and underrepresented voices. Whether you're a student, a long-time performer, or someone with a fresh idea, Test Flights offers a supportive space to explore and grow.
Participants not only gain stage time but also experience producing, marketing, rehearsing, and refining a show. Many Test Flights go on to become full-length productions or festival-ready pieces, making this program a vital part of Seattle’s live theater ecosystem.
