Interested in being a part of the JCI family?
Our truly amazing volunteers are the heart and soul of our audience’s experience and we’re always looking for more fun folks to join them!
Our current shows are happening every-other-weekend (Fridays/Saturdays) at the University Heights Center (5031 University Way, NE, Seattle). We occasionally have other shows at other theaters in Seattle.
Safety Precautions
All audience, performers, and staff (including volunteers) must show Proof of Vaccine status (2+ shots) to enter the theater. Masks are worn at all times when inside. (Performers may take off their masks when on stage.) Eating and drinking is limited to only pre-show and during intermission, in the lobby. No eating or drinking in the theater.

time commitment
What is the time commitment on a typical show night?
Volunteers are asked to arrive one hour before the show begins (i.e. 6:30pm for an 7:30pm show) and stay through the show, plus a few minutes afterwards for packing up. So that adds up to about 3 hours if you’re volunteering at one show.
On nights that we have two shows, you’re welcome to sign up for the early shift (6:30pm-9:30pm), or the later shift (9pm-shortly before midnight), or BOTH! (We prefer volunteers volunteer for both shows on a night that has two show, but it is not required.)
Am I required to stick to any particular schedule?Volunteers can make their own schedule! We schedule them one week at a time, so you can work a different night (Friday or Saturday) each time.
