Prerequisites: Students should have completed at least 103, or have equivalent experience.

This class is a good bridge between the 100 series and the more advanced 200 and 300 series.

* This class has eight classes instead of the normal seven with the showcase being before the last class.

Continuing from the foundation of 103, this is an expansion that focuses on skills needed to upgrade your improv to the next level! Basic acting terms and theories that every improvisor should know will be discussed. Then get on your feet and challenge yourselves through helpful instructor-led notes and feedback.

​Emotionally Connecting, Honest and Subtle Character Building, and Stage Presence and Pictures will be core ideas of the class. This will end in a performance that focuses on advanced short-form and touches on long-form techniques. This will build and prepare you for the higher-level improv and is a must-take class for improvisers wanting to enhance their performance.

Refund Policy
  • Tuition can only be fully refunded if student contacts Jet City Improv two ​or more weeks prior to the date of the first class.
  • Refund or deferment requests received after that time are not eligible for a refund or deferment, with the exception of deferments due to COVID-policy shifts as noted below.
  • Please contact the Education Director at education@jetcityimprov.org regarding questions about payment, refunds, and deferment.
  • Please note: If we do not hit a minimum number of students enrolled by one week before, we may delay the beginning of this class by one (1) week or shorten the class by 30 minutes.
    If the class time is shortened, registered students will be partially refunded to reflect a pro-rated tuition. 
COVID-19 Policies:
  • The instructor for this course will be vaccinated, and all students must be fully vaccinated to attend.
  • Students will be given prior notice to any shift in policy, and will be given the opportunity to defer their tuition at any time if they no longer wish to participate.

  • Current and prospective students can find our classroom policies here!
  • Students must attend 7 out of 8 sessions to move on to the next section. Absences due to illness/COVID-19 symptoms will not be counted against students.
  • ​We do not offer make up sessions for classes you do not attend.
