Jet City Improv is Seattle’s premier improvisational theater, comedy, and training organization. Our mission is to educate, enlighten, and entertain through the art of improvisation. Since 1992, we have created live audience-interactive performances, festivals, improv classes for beginners and experienced performers alike, and outreach programs that bring creativity, joy, and connection to communities across Western Washington.
Across all of our work, we strive to make improv more accessible by welcoming new voices to the stage, opening our classrooms to a wide range of learners, and building meaningful community connections through outreach.

What We Do
|
Year-round live improv performances that bring people together through audience interaction, storytelling, and shared laughter.
|
Improv classes that help people build creativity, confidence, and connection in a welcoming and supportive environment.
|
Community-based improv programs that expand access to creativity, connection, and joy beyond the stage.
|
Why it matters
Improvisation is more than entertainment. It builds creativity, confidence, communication, and connection, while making space for people to play, express themselves, and feel part of a supportive community. That is part of what makes improv such a powerful tool for joy, belonging, and human connection.
Our Vision and Values
land acknowledgement
Jet City Improv would like to acknowledge that we live, work and play on the unceded and traditional territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, specifically the Duwamish tribe and that we occupy this land.
We acknowledge this statement does not take the place of authentic relationships with Indigenous communities but is a first step in honoring the land we occupy and disrupting the erasure of Indigenous past, present, and future.
