202: Understanding Storytelling

Classes Start June 24th!
Prerequisites: Students should have completed at least Improv 102 and 103, or have equivalent experience.
This class is appropriate for more advanced improvisers seeking to brush off their narrative long form skills! *When: TUESDAYS, June 24th - Aug 12th 7:00-9:30PM Instructor: Raynee Morris (she/her) Where: University Heights Center, (5031 University Way NE) 2nd floor (Auditorium) (Showcase: Saturday Aug 9th 9:30pm-11pm at West of Lenin!) * This class has eight classes instead of the normal seven with the showcase being before the last class. Dive headfirst into learning how Jet City Improv creates its signature improvised plays! This Intro to Long Form: Narrative class will introduce you to story-based long form, building and applying skills in sustaining story and character, weaving a well-constructed narrative, and structural tools like the Hero's Journey.
