dre anderson

ensemble

Seattle’s very own Doc HighDr8 tha PhilosoRaptor, was originally born as Dre Anderson at UW Hospital. This emcee was born into a hip hop household, lyricism in his blood, but never really tapped into the flow till the tender age of 16 over the beatboxed musical stylings of buy u a drank by T-Pain. Since then, Doc has been tearing up open mics, and block parties and shows with his band Tha Nothin.  Dre recently Co-Directed the Improvised Hip-Hopera: Love Revival at Unexpected Productions, as well as teaches hip hop and improv classes. When not blazing stages you’ll find Doc in the community working as a teaching artist for STG and SCT or operating cameras for the PNTA. Dre operates under the credo we can utilize the five pillars of hip hop to metabolize trauma.
