Mike holds an MFA (Acting/Directing) from the University of Idaho and a BFA (Theater Arts) from the University of Nebraska (Kearney). At U.I. he was a founding member of the improv groups Stagefright and Comedy Reaction. He is a past member of the Seattle improv groups TheaterSports and Train of Thought. He has performed with Seattle Shakespeare Company, ACT, Book-It Repertory Theater and Seattle's Mae West Fest as well as improv festivals across North America. In addition to performing with Jet City Improv since 1992, he has been seen in many JCI full-length improvised plays including The Lost Folio, The Irish Wake and the acclaimed Election Show (2004, 2008 and 2016). He also performed in Late Night with Satan as Co-Host Dale Earnhardt as well as The Saturday Morning Cartoon Show, Reality World, Reality World Season 2, both runs of Wallflowers and It's Your Wonderful Life.

Mike directed and performed in Time Quest, Most Extreme Improv Ninja Challenge and the Vietnam War comedy Bunker 13. Bunker 13 went on to appear at the Piccolo Spoleto Theater Festival in Charleston SC in 2010 and 2013 and is still appearing at improv festivals around the country, such as the 2016 Improvised Play Festival in Austin TX and most recently the 2017 Hawaii Festival of Improv. He also directed the hit ZombieTown and two runs of the ground-breaking show Men Of Action. In 2016 Mike appeared in Claim of Thrones and directed the smash hit Trivia Night in the Big Red Lounge at Rick’s Dive-In Bar and Grill. Most recently Mike appeared in Election Show 2016 and The Lost Folio (2017). Twisted Flick fans have heard Mike's voice in over 120 re-dubbed "B" movies since 1997. Mike is Associate Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Jet City Improv. He is the Director of the Jet City Improv show, Twisted Flicks, and JCI Outreach Programs as well as a Teaching Artist.
