About the Show
Welcome to Joy Market! Where dating, fate and traditions are the key commodities and products. Joy Market is an Asian Comedy Show that dives into the lives of vendors. With the home setting a Market, players will use sketch and improv to create portals centered around AAPI voices and stories. Exact performance dates: April 27, 28, 29 May 4, 5,6, 11, 12, 13

The oldest Asian American theatre group in the Pacific Northwest, Pork Filled Productions centers Asian American and POC artists to imagine fantastical, inclusive and FUN universes. Through the genres of science fiction, noir, fantasy, steampunk and more, we envision a bright universe informed by diverse experiences and perspectives, populated by larger than life characters, where everyone’s story can be told.

Daphne Liu
Having grown up in Taiwan, Daphne has boba and beef noodle soup running in her veins. Always in between two cultures, she’s found a sense of belonging in Joy Market alongside people with shared experiences. She studied improv with Jet City, sketch writing with The Pack Theatre, and got her stage time as an ensemble member in JCI’s Squawk Squad. She travels for conferences with her fiance incorporating humor into nerdy tech talks on “How we automated our relationship”. Outside of improv, she listens to Jay Chou, eats chips with chopsticks, and knows how to play Chinese yoyo. |

Erika Lowe
Erika Lowe is originally from Los Angeles, California. Erika first caught the acting bug after appearing in a Barbie and the Rockers dance video at the age of 11. That moment had particular significance for her because it was the first time she saw an Asian Barbie doll, Dana Yeosan. Her acting and improv roots started with tv pilots, musical theater, and ComedySportz in Los Angeles. Erika later performed stand up, sketch comedy and improv with Spark Arts and Vermont Comedy Club throughout the state of Vermont until moving to Seattle six years ago. Erika is a huge supporter of the Seattle improv community and serves on the Board of Directors at Bandit Theater. She's been a cast member at CSz Seattle at the Atlas Theater in Fremont since 2019, where she regularly performs in Boom Bap, B-Rated, Dubious Advice, Full Disclosure, Something Great, ComedySportz, All In and the Blue Show. This is Erika's second production with Jet City Improv as she performed in Emerald City Slasher in 2022. The last time Erika was a part of an AAPI cast was almost 30 years ago when she was cast in a teen improv TV Pilot with host Amy Hill from All-American Girl and in a production of Love Letters with Tamlyn Tomita from The Joy Luck Club. Therefore the opportunity to perform in Joy Market with Jet City Improv and Pork-filled Productions is not lost on her, and she's beyond grateful to be a part of this cast celebrating the AAPI community. |

Minki Bai
Minki is honored and excited to be part of Joy Market! Originally from Vancouver BC, Minki came to Seattle to attend the University of Washington. He signed up for Improv classes on a whim in 2016 and has been hooked ever since. Minki is a proud ensemble member and teaching artist at Jet City Improv. Other JCI credits include The Matchelorette, Stabbin' Cabin, and Tribe Called Yes. Minki is very grateful to be working with such creative and talented people to tell unique AAPI stories. |

Alice Wong
Alice is thrilled to be back on stage with Jet City for Joy Market. Originally from Brooklyn, Alice started her improv journey when she moved here in 2018. Since then she has worked on the production side of The Matchelorette and Stabbin Cabin. She has also appeared on stage with The Matchelorette. Outside of improv, she can be found fencing and tending to her plants. |

Richard Lee
The top half of a centaur and the bottom half of a reverse centaur. Richard is a Seattle native writer, comedian, actor, and animator best known for winning an episode of the Adult Swim Livestream “Development Meeting” with his TV pitch "Step God," and finding any excuse to bring up his rowing machine. When he's not performing, he spends his free time playing D&D, eating delicious local cuisine, and blanking whenever someone asks him if he's seen any good shows lately. You can see some of his homemade content and sketches on social media @ragustorichard, and you can find the final clue to the hidden treasure somewhere on his intricate back tattoo. Fun fact: lip-to-lip kisses aren't inherently intimate, they can be quite clinical if you clarify beforehand. |

Andrea Zaborac
Andrea is thrilled to debut in her first-ever improv show! After being denied several acting opportunities from the University of Washington, Andrea discovered her passion for improv while training at The Groundlings School in Los Angeles. Since then, she has orchestrated improv workshops for peers while catching hundreds of Pokémon in the Greater Seattle area. She thanks her family, friends, Jet City and Pork Filled Productions for this opportunity, and looks forward to her next visit to Target. |

Freddie Wu
Freddie was born with ten fingers and ten toes. At age 12, his parents declared, "He'll be a great dishwasher one day." That day came at age 14 when the prophecy was fulfilled at his parent's restaurant. After many years, he's made the leap from dishwasher to the big stage! He's incredibly grateful to perform alongside this amazing ensemble! |

Corinne Roberts
Mabuhay! My name is Corinne Marie Roberts (aka Cookie)! I am proud to be Filipina American. My nanay’s (mother’s) maiden name is Amor and love pretty much sums up how I’ve been feeling about 2023! I enjoy eating pancit, lumpia, chicken adobo, and drinking buko shakes. I love to sing, dance, act, create visual art, and am very passionate about teaching dance and flying the aerial hoop. I am grateful to make my improv debut in Joy Market! It has been an honor playing and collaborating with this team of talented artists! Winnie Yeung
Winnie is a comedian and writer living in Seattle. She was born in Hong Kong and one of her childhood pastimes was to make believe she was an egg waffle street vendor. This provided her with early technical training for her role in Joy Market. Winnie started her improv training at JCI and has also studied at Second City, UCB and Bandit Theater. Winnie thanks her husband Jon for being her constant source of support and comedy material. She also thanks her sister Wing for flipping all those egg waffles with her in their shop under the dining table some thirty years ago. |

Xiaohan Zhang
Xiaohan "Han-Han" Zhang is an improviser and actor from the Bay Area. He previously directed two improv troupes with Theatre Rice in UC Berkeley, and provided improv workshops. He has performed in sketch comedy, original scripts, adaptations, and music videos. In his free time he is a jazz and rock drummer, and develops his own video games. He hopes you enjoy the show! |

Pearl Lam
Pearl is a Seattle-native actor and comedian best known for their YouTube channel @pealpealpeal. Fearing they would lose themselves to the same demons that claimed Trisha Paytas, Pearl now acts in commercials, indie films, and tbh whatever they can book. Their solo work is all about off-season, non-corporate gay content and Asian American jokes white people find uncomfortable. They are absolutely thrilled to be making their Jet City debut with the best cast ever! |

Michael Kwan
Michael began doing improv at Pan Theater and All Out Comedy in Oakland in 2016. Since then he’s performed improv and sketch comedy with RecRoom and Running with Glitter in several Bay Area theaters and at SF Sketchfest. He was most recently in Jet City’s Too Hot to Touch and he’s excited to join the cast for Joy Market! |
